Plas Glynllifon is a spectacular, Grade 1 listed mansion on the outskirts of Caernarfon, North Wales. Built in the 1830s, it has an incredible history, including hosting Prince Charles' investiture ball. Its story took a new twist in 2017 when, after years of languishing on the market and falling into serious disrepair, Plas Glynllifon finally found a new owner. Paul Williams fell instantly in love with the place and, after buying it within days, began a quest to return it to its former glory. Filmed over 4 years, we follow the multi-million pound renovation as Paul sets out to transform this magnificent mansion on the outskirts of Caernarfon from dilapidation to the finest 5-star hotel North Wales has ever seen. Even for this experienced property developer, the scale of the challenge is epic. But as his "once-in-a- lifetime" project, he is determined to see it through. The plans are grand from a new swimming pool and huge chandeliers to marble bathrooms, all aimed to return to the grandeur of the building's heyday. But it all costs money. A lot of money. With time and finances running out fast, Paul finds himself in a race to complete Glynllifon's transformation before the dream for which he has put everything on the line is lost.
