Euros Rewind: Netherlands v Czech Republic 2004
Taal: nld
Categorie: Voetbal
Relive one of the best games from Euro 2004, with the Dutch taking on the Czech Republic in a group match at the Estadio Municipal de Aveiro. The Netherlands had surprisingly failed to qualify for the 2002 World Cup, but they send a star-studded team to Portugal for this tournament, including attacking talents such as Arjen Robben and Ruud van Nistelrooy. The Czechs had finished as runners-up at Euro 96, but arguably have a stronger squad at this tournament. Midfielder and captain Pavel Nedved is at the peak of his powers, Petr Cech and Tomas Rosicky are emerging as stars, and striker Milan Baros (then with Liverpool) is in deadly form that summer.
