3 Barra Best makes a journey across the 4000 square kilometres of the Foyle network, criss-crossing his way across the many rivers and streams that make up it's great catchment. The popular BBC Northern Ireland weather presenter swaps his studio for the great outdoors - travelling up, over and on the river network as he follows its route across three counties - Donegal, Tyrone and Londonderry - to Lough Foyle. Along the way he meets with some of those who work, live and play along its banks, exploring places and landscapes rarely seen on our television screens and all brought to life with some stunning aerial footage. In this episode he joins a group practising ice water therapy on the River Roe and gets a surprise when his instructor decides the river just isn't cold enough and comes up with a real ice bucket challenge instead. He follows the journey of the salmon up Donegal's River Finn and watches the amazing spectacle of them going over the high rocks at Cloghan Leap. And he visits the County Tyrone town of Strabane and meets some of those forced to flea their homes the night the River Mourne burst its banks and flooded the whole town centre.
